Process intensification offering the quantum leap of process efficiency is increasingly gaining international attention. It can be realized when functional elements such as chemical reaction, mass transfer, heat transfer etc. are analyzed and highly integrated with innovative ideas. An aim of this symposium is to discuss not only process system approaches but also results of the phenomenological analyses toward the methodology construction for process intensification, among researchers and engineers in the various fields.
