Importance of effective utilization of biomass is getting more and more important toward the carbon neutral society in 2050. For energy use and material use of biomass, proposal, experiment, demonstration, and implementation of conversion technology based on biochemistry and thermochemistry are wanted. We will discuss technologies for effective use of biomass based on chemical engineering in this session.
