This is the joint symposium between the SCEJ and the Japan Union of Chemical Science and Technology (JUCST). The JUCST has executed "the Chemical Communication Award" for many years. It is very important for our society to advertise our activities to young generation who take charge of future society. In the symposium, several examples that received the Chemical Communication Award are demonstrated, and the activity of SCEJ on the service to the public is reported. Based on the presentations, the future directions of the public services of the SCEJ will be discussed.
