Control of mass and heat diffusion is a key for process intensification; therefore development of model-based design methodology for dynamic process by analysis of various diffusion phenomena is expected. In this symposium, we will discuss on complexity of dynamic process involved by diffusion phenomena, methods for analysis of complex process dynamics, and systems approach to process synthesis and design for process intensification, from various viewpoints of reaction process, transport phenomena and process systems.
