ST-27 [Trans-Division Symposium]
Progress of a Water/Wastewater Treatment Process by Harnessing Unique and Diverse Microorganisms

Organizers: Terada Akihiko (Tokyo Univ. of Agri. and Tech.), Hori Katsutoshi (Nagoya Univ.), Kimbara Kazuhide (Shizuoka Univ.)

Development of state-of-the-art techniques for analyzing microorganisms in environment has currently resulted in discovery of novel and unique microorganisms. This session invites leading researchers to introduce physiology and phylogeny of novel microorganisms and discuss innovative water/wastewater treatment technologies by harnessing them.
