Toward the realization of "Carbon Neutral in 2050", the chemical industry is expected to solve problems through innovation. Evaluation from the viewpoint of LCA is important for he realization of "Carbon Neutral" and the evaluation is attracting in chemical industry. In this session, after introducing an overview of carbon neutral with LCA, the technology development and initiatives of each company toward carbon neutral is introduced.
SS-2 Challenges of Chemical Industry Aiming at Carbon Neutral
-The Potential of Ammonia to Contribute to a "Hydrogen Society" (Oral)

Mar. 16 (Thu) 13:40-17:20 Hall B (Program)

Organized by
Industrial Development Workshop, Center for Academia-Industry Exchange
GT Committee, Center for Academia-Industry Exchange
Towards the realization of sustainable society, various research and development is being carried out. Among them, ammonia in particular is being studied as hydrogen carrier and carbon-free fuel. This session will focus on the utilization of ammonia, and introduce the latest trends and research cases.
SS-3"Management Problems in the Chemical Industry" Discussion about the Chemical Industry toward 2050-beyond Sustainable and to Regenerative- (Oral)

Mar. 16 (Thu) 13:45-17:30 Hall A (Program)

Organized by
Research Management Committee, Center for Academia-Industry Exchange

COVID-19 closes up the problems of "global warming" and "economic disparity" caused by neo-liberal economy. In particular, disasters caused by abnormal weather, which frequently occur around the world, require an immediate response to "global warming".
In Japan as well, economic activities aimed at creating a "sustainable society" are being carried out nationally. On the other hand, especially in Western Europe, the idea of "regenerating the environment into a better state" goes beyond the "sustainable idea of not making the environment worse than it is now".
Even in Japan, some companies have already changed their business activities toward "regenerative" (regeneration), and at this symposium, we will discuss the long-term vision of the chemical industry with reference to advanced cases.
SS-4 Challenges of Chemical Industry Aiming at Carbon Neutral
-Toward Social Implementation of Hydrogen Supply Chains- (INCHEM TOKYO2021 follow-up talk session) (Oral)

Mar. 17 (Fri) 9:00-12:30 Hall A (Program)

Organized by
Center for Academia-Industry Exchange
Achieving carbon neutrality requires major changes in the chemical industry. In order to achieve carbon neutrality, it is necessary to transform the supply chain, which has hitherto been dependent on fossil resources, into a sustainable supply chain. This is both a big challenge and a big business opportunity. Therefore, in this session, following the previous INCHEM TOKYO exchange meeting, we will introduce the latest technology and hold a talk session with the theme of "social implementation of hydrogen supply chain".
SS-5 Efforts to Utilize DX (Digital Transformation) to Create Vibrant and Sustainable On-Site Capabilities (Oral)

Mar. 17 (Fri) 10:15-15:40 Hall B (Program)

Organized by
SCE-Network, Center for Academia-Industry Exchange
Towards the realization of sustainable society, various research and development is being carried out. Among them, ammonia in particular is being studied as hydrogen carrier and carbon-free fuel. This session will focus on the utilization of ammonia, and introduce the latest trends and research cases.
SS-6 Unit Operation Which Should Not be Forgotten
-(Separation Technology for Sustainable Society)- (Oral)

Mar. 17 (Fri) 13:00-15:40 Hall A (Program)

Organized by
Center for Academia-Industry Exchange
A chemical plant process is a combination of basic unit operations. However, in the actual process, there are many events that cannot be dealt with by the overview of unit operations in textbooks. Under such circumstances, each company will introduce examples of correspondence and the latest technologies. The theme of this time is "Separation Technology for Sustainable Society" that includes many basic unit operations.

Poster session
