Needs for biomass utilization is increasing due to Paris Agreement and SDGs internationally, and due to modification of FIT framework domestically. Further innovation of thermo- and bio-chemical conversion is wanted. Chemical engineering approach provides the most effective way to the creation of biomass utilization technology that leads to commercialization from fundamental phenomena to process design. Biomass utilization is proceeded via chemical engineering discussion.
