SCEJ 48th Autumn Meeting (Tokushima, 2016)

Last modified: 2016-09-07 09:49:00

Session programs : SY-76

The third-day program of ST-12 (Hall D) was partly changed. ST-12 Program (The yellow-backed area is affected.)

SY-76 Symposium of Division of Biochemical Engineering (4) Upgrading Biological-Response Predictions by Integrating Measurement and Simulation Technologies

Organizer: Yamada Masumi (Chiba U.), Sugiura Shinji (AIST), Yoshimi Yasuo (Shibaura Inst. Tech.), Kurata Hiroyuki (Kyushu Inst. Tech.)

We will discuss the future of measurement and prediction technologies of biological responses based on chemical engineering approaches, including process control, measurement, and simulation. The presentation topics include measurement technologies, simulation methods, and their integration. The measurement technologies may include, but not limited to, biochemical analysis, biosensors, organs-on-a-chip, 3D cell culture, and tissue engineering. The target responses may vary from the individual organism-level responses such as pharmacokinetics to the cell-level responses including artificial cell systems.
