After the enforcement of the Paris Agreement, more and more activities on reducing CO₂ emission are being made. Among them, interest in biomass utilization that is carbon neutral is increasing. Thus, in this symposium, we overview the development of the latest technologies of thermochemical and biochemical conversion and discuss the effective utilization of them.
